I am delighted to announce that the newly formed southeast branch of the Irish Landscape Institute will be holding a lecture on Landscape Character Assessment & the National Landscape Strategy as its inaugural event.  And it's a FREE lecture!

All students, policy-makers and practitioners in the fields of  landscape, planning and the environment are invited to attend. We would also warmly welcome interested members of the public to this event.

7.05pm ILI President’s address by Mary-Anne Harris
7.15pm Presentation by Alison Harvey

Alison will give an overview of existing and proposed Landscape Policy in Ireland, looking at the National Landscape Strategy and the need for landscape character assessment (LCA) as a participative tool in landscape management and planning. The SEA for the Off-Shore Renewable Energy Development Plan will be discussed.
